Park Acoustics in partnership with Pringles proudly presents the legendary Freshlyground and friends!!

Park Acoustics welcomes back the legendary Freshlyground to the Park Acoustics stage. The last time they performed was November in 2014, but unfortunately, the show got cut short by rain two songs in. Supporting them is everyone’s favorite indie band Desmond & the Tutus, Shortstraw front man’s (Alastair) new band Cockels., Zionruts Family, Matt Carstens and 5FM’s Nick Hamman.

They have a great comedy line up with the legendary Deep Fried Man, Melt Sieberhagen, and Glen Biederman Pam.

With that said, we had a quick chat with Graig from Desmond & the Tutus.

Hi, Graig. Thanks for your time. How does it feel to be going back to Park Acoustics again?

Park Acoustics is always one of our most favorite shows of the year, and it’s rad to be back at one with such a killer line-up.

What can people expect from Desmond & The Tutus at Park Acoustics?

Sweating and dancing.

What makes Park Acoustics such a rad #jol for you guys?

Ag, it’s just nice to be out in the sunshine doing a gig in our hometown. Always nice to get out of the sweaty club scene.

Which of the other artists are you keen on having a chat with on the day?

Freshlyground obvs, we need to chat about us doing the next waka waka collab for the world cup.

Hahaha! What would you say, is your absolute favorite song to perform live? And why?

Well, in Pretoria it’s gotta be Pretoria Girls.

True true. Desmond & the Tutus have been around for more than 10 years. How hard/easy is it to stay relevant and bring out music in the South African music scene?

Well, I don’t know if it’s easy or difficult but you just have to keep releasing music and the music has to be good.

What is next for Desmond and The Tutus?

We’re busy recording a new album with some new hits!

Thanks, man! We’ll see you there this weekend. Don’t forget to get your hands on tickets sommer nou!
