AREA3 Broadsheet Issue 3_adidas Originals_04

After two successful print runs, the third edition of the adidas Originals AREA3 Broadsheet will hit the streets this week at all adidas Originals stores and selected retailers countrywide.

This edition features a peek into the lives of renowned photographers, Anthony Bila and Kristin-Lee Moolman. Bila shares his opinions on the psychology behind portrait photography and Moolmangives some insights into how she pairs her vivacious originality with a daring approach to the formal elements of photography.

There is also a look at the adidas Originals Unite Joburg featuring Danny Brown event which hosted over 2, 000 of the most influential people in Joburg. The exhibition followed the live adidas Originals Unite Joburg event and showcased photography by Paul Ward as well as 5 hand-picked Joburg photographers who were commissioned to capture as many portraits of the people hailing from the 5 iconic Joburg districts – Illovo, Maboneng Precinct, Newtown, Sandton and Soweto.

Making a come-back this year is the adidas Originals Stan Smith, re-invigorated and updated for the modern day while still staying true to the look and shape of the original, which also gets a feature.

Limited issues of the adidas Originals AREA3 Broadsheet will be available from adidas Originals stores in Canal Walk and V&A Waterfront (Cape Town), Menlyn Park Shopping Centre (Pretoria) as well as at select Stuttafords, Sportscene, Soho and a store is good stores.
