As a whole, Netflix and Mike Flanagan‘s 10-episode “The Haunting of Hill House” is arguably 2018’s best piece of horror entertainment, a terrifying and deeply moving series that firmly cements Flanagan’s status as one of today’s most exciting masters of horror. It’s masterful perfection the whole way through, but one episode, in particular, stands out. Also, kudos to episode 5…

We’re referring to Episode 6, titled “Two Storms.” The critically acclaimed episode takes place across two different time periods and two different locations, both time and place seamlessly blended together for an hour of television that is largely comprised of extended single-take sequences that are dropping jaws and begging the simple question, ‘HOW?!’

This new featurette video from Netflix digs into the creation of the technically masterful “Two Storms,” which required months of planning and may very well be Flanagan’s masterpiece.
