The streets of Silent Hill have been quiet for a few years now. The cancellation of Silent Hills and PT broke many a heart and a future for the game seems all but lost. But just because there isn’t a future for that foggy town doesn’t mean we can’t appreciate and challenge ourselves when it comes to its past. We played the game; loved it, and even shat our pants when we were in front of the TV. Silent Hill is like the Algebra guy on TV, we grew up with him.

That’s the purpose of this week’s quiz, which aims to challenge your knowledge of the actual geography of Silent Hill. Do you remember the street names and what landmark buildings were on those streets? If so, you might just be able to pass this quiz! We did terrible on the quiz…

No idea what Silent Hill is? Here’s a quick breakdown:

Silent Hill is set in the series’ eponymous fictitious American town. The series is heavily influenced by the literary genre of psychological horror, with its player characters being mostly “everymen”. By contrast, other horror-themed games use a stronger protagonist through character back story or direct game mechanics (more weapons, heavier emphasis on combat), as is the case in Resident Evil.
