We know a lot of fans are excited for the Netflix series based on The Witcher. It will be based on the books and not the video games, in case you were wondering. For a while now, we’ve known that the showrunner would be Lauren S. Hissrich from Daredevil and The Defenders and she’s finally revealed the other writers for the series. I can’t imagine a better day. The #Witcher writers’ room opened today, and it was full of ideas and banter and cupcakes and creativity and darkness and champagne and this hilarious picture that’s better than any of the posed group selfies I attempted. It’s happening. ♥️ pic.twitter.com/jUn9MPwf9L — Lauren S. Hissrich (@LHissrich) May 8, 2018 Some of the folks in the picture include Jessica Jones veteran Jenny Klein, Daredevil’s Sneha Koorse, Clare Higgins of The Worst Witch, and Declan de Barra who worked on The Originals. That’s not a shabby creative team. The first season of the series will adapt the first 2 books across eight episodes. Of course, the author of said books, Andrzej Sapkowski, is on board as head of the creative team. Sadly, we don’t have a casting list or release date yet. Fokkit! We are moerse excited for this one!
