When listening to a Mumford & Sons album – like their award winning “Babel” –  the first thing that pops into your head is most probably not; “Fuck, these guys are hilarious”. But, with the release of their new music video for “Hopeless Wanderer”, the band more than proves that they have an EPIC sense of humor.

Mumford & Sons have enlisted Jason Sudeikis, Will Forte, Ed Helms and Jason Bateman, to take their place in what is sure to be one of the funniest music videos ever made.

Everything in the video starts out normal enough, with sunrises and dramatic scenes. But curiously enough, the faces of the band members are obscured… until about a quarter through the video. When their faces are revealed, you see that the actual band are nowhere to be found, and have been replaced by the comedy quartet lip-syncing (and sporting the necessary facial hair). What happens afterwards, could only be described as comedy gold!

The doppelgangers do a pretty good job looking like they’re actually playing the instruments, even when they all get on a tiny boat located in the middle of a pond. But here’s where it gets a little… strange. As the emotions rile up, tears start rolling and are then “tasted”. Band members start making out, instruments get raped and some very well-coordinated and very sexual dance moves are shown off. It’s all very weird, but that makes this the best and most hilarious video ever. No wonder it quickly became a huge viral video success.

Here’s the video, see for yourself:
