Phone Calls showcases the rockier side of Kabaal klankbaan‘s folk-rock – a rock band arrangement of a song about the awkward bipolar nature of long-distance relationships and modern communication. Despite its theme, it’s a fun, upbeat song. Together with the rest of the upcoming album, Phone Calls was self-produced and recorded in Floris‘ bedroom studio. Kabaal klankbaan, also known as singer-songwriter Floris Groenewald, has been working on the follow-up to his debut album, Dit Wat Oorgebly Het, on and off for four years. “I’m so excited to finally be releasing something from the new album,” says Floris, “and luckily it came out sounding amazing.”

Baptism will be released later in 2015.
