The premier Beer Festival in the Winelands returns this October: The Stellenbosch Craft Beer Festival opens its taps in this vibrant student town at the Jan Marais Nature Reserve on Saturday, 14 October 2017 to satisfy the sort of thirst that only brew-drinkers and -lovers know. Bring your family and friends for a fun-filled day of great beer, fantastic music and some of the best food trucks around.

The music line-up includes the likes of Dave Ferguson, Rumswinger, Spoegwolf and more, as well as comedy hour with Melt Sieberhagen. The festival will host around 20 breweries for the occasion, allowing festival-goers to explore different styles of beers and seeing what local brewmasters have to offer. Taking place at the beautiful Jan Marais Nature Reserve, there is no better way to spend a Saturday than with good music, your favourite beer in hand surrounded by the Winelands’ beauty.

With that said, we had a quick chat with Spoegwolf about the festival:

Hi, guys. Thanks for taking the time to chat. Are you excited to be performing at the Stellenbosch Craft Beer Festival?

Hell yes! Moer excited om weer buite te speel!

Lekker! What song is your absolute favorite to perform? And why?

Flikker – because it’s new and it goes crazy at the end.

What beers are you keen on trying on the day at the festival?

The cold ones.

Hahaha! What are your thoughts on Craft Beer Festivals in South Africa?

We. Want. More.

Spoegwolf has been around for some time. What would be your advice for young and upcoming musicians?

Always remember your towel.

Good advice… Do you think craft beer festivals has helped the South African music scene in recent years?

All beers have helped South African music. All beers are equal.

What is next for Spoegwolf?

Thanks for asking. World Domination. Beer, anyone?

Yes, please! Thanks for the chat. Be sure to check out this lekker festival!
