This past Friday I was invited to attend Arcade Empire’s second B-day party,  I was excited like a fat kid in Sweets from Heaven with his arm already halfway in the Jelly Baby Jar and ready to get my drink on, and what happened didn’t disappoint one bit.

The venue was packed; people were standing in a queue outside when we arrived, braving the cold, fortunately for me, I already had a brandy or three on the way to light up my inner party animal fire, so the cold didn’t really get to me. The music was pumping and the drinks were flowing, guuurls were shaking their asses in front of the small stage (see I told you the music was good) and glow sticks at the door provided some alternative entertainment in the form off smearing glow fluid over everything in sight. The service at the bar was fast, even with half of Pretoria and their friends standing in the line constantly trying to get the attention of the rushing barmen/women. So thumbs up from me! A bad thing which puzzled me were those delicious Jam Jars which were sold out quite fast, I really wanted one…They looked so good, but alas brandy had to do.

The main stage area was packed tightly while Wrestlerish killed it, I absolutely dig the vibe that they bring to every show, keep a close eye on these Pretoors rockers if you aren’t already. They provided a bit of calm before the chaos erupted. Zebra & Giraffe drew a big crowd and played like one should much to the delight of all their fans. Sadly I missed Bittereinder but heard they were awesome and provided a lot of energy to the masses.

To sum up the night: It was amazing and proved yet again that Arcade Empire is the best live venue in Snor City!

Thanks to all the cool people who attended and to Arcade Empire for the invites. Here are a few pictures of what went down all courtesy of AJ Photography, check ’em out!
