Let me start by saying that I’m not a fan of the Fast & Furious franchise, I didn’t bother to see the first few movies when it came out. I only watched them after watching Fast 6. But since then, I actually like them (all of them, including Tokyo Drift) and Furious 7 was no exception – it is the best Fast & Furious movie.

It’s an amazing action movie with a LOT of heartfelt moments… It also contains a perfect goodbye to Paul Walker that had the cinema in tears. It’s everything you could want in a Fast movie, and much more.

Catching us up with the events put into motion back in 2006 in Tokyo Drift, Furious 7 opens with Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham), the older brother of Fast & Furious 6 villain Owen Shaw (Luke Evans), coming after the family on a quest for revenge. Dom (Vin Diesel), Brian (Paul Walker), Letty (Michelle Rodriguez), Mia (Jordana Brewster), Tej (Ludacris), and Roman (Tyrese Gibson) don’t take kindly to Shaw killing one of their own, so the film quickly sets up a vengeance plot that contains some of the best action sequences we’ve ever seen. Sorry Michael Bay! A mention must be made on Tyrese Gibson, his character – Roman – had the cinema chuckling every time he spoke, he was damn funny!

There are some new faces, namely Statham (playing the biggest villain this series has ever seen, he’s a “monster” of a guy), Kurt Russell, Tony Jaa, Djimon Hounsou, Ronda Rousey, Game of Thrones’ Nathalie Emmanuel. The movie revolves around Vin Diesel talking about family and seeing what kind of jaw-dropping stunts these guys can pull off on their quest for “living in peace.”

Here’s the breakdown of the action that you can expect from Furious 7: Dwayne Johnson vs. Jason Statham. Michelle Rodriguez vs. Ronda Rousey. Paul Walker vs. Tony Jaa. Vin Diesel vs. Statham. Not to mention all the sequences with cars! James Wan did the franchise justice with his work – the stunts are frigging amazing to say the least! The way he handles geography, placing the camera exactly where it needs to be so we understand what everything means for every character involved, is nothing short of masterful. James Wan cemented himself as one of the top Hollywood directors for us!

There’s also a sneaky scene of an unidentified supercar in a penthouse; apparently it’s a Hybrid Lycan, that was made in Dubai. You’ll know it when you see it!

Last but not least, Paul Walker. Just watch the movie ‘till the end, it was the perfect ending for such an amazing movie star who passed away. RIP Paul! We will miss you!

Watch Furious 7, even if you don’t like the franchise! The action scenes are amazing, and the storyline is great!
